Summary

Engineering Graduates Student Association is an academic councilnot a student group!

Our members are all Engineering Graduate Students. This year we our proud to represent nearly 1,400 Engineering Graduate Students.

Who We Are

We represent the graduate students in the seven departments of the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (HSSEAS).

We coordinate events for graduate students, work with administration, and strive to make the graduate experience productive, enjoyable, and fun.

We have eight executive officers, but with an array of appointed officers for various agendas and initiatives throughout the years.

Initiatives

This year we have an unprecedented effort in Community Service. We’ve focused on renovating and innovating new resources for the students to use. EGSA has a new extension to the Lounge, the Workroom or Study Hall focuses on the need of Graduate Students to work in peace and with others. We’re also focusing on analytics.

Analytics

This year EGSA has started to focus on learning more about the student participation. Soon we’ll have an area where students and companies will learn of our performance in the Socials. We will strive to improve department coverage and attendance. Similarly, Lounge access and usage will be visualized so that we can adjust our efforts.

Likewise, this website performance is analyzed and evaluated on a quarterly basis to improve the services to the students.

If anyone is interested in analytics, statistics, surveys, or data aggregation; please contact us. We’re interested in speaking with you with your ideas on how we could improve efficiency, utility, and performance.

Get Involved

We need your experience, input, and participation. We are always open to ideas. We want to hear from you and to understand your experience with the school. Understand, that EGSA is an authoritative source of the Engineering Graduate experience. Therefore, it is critical that the officers are representative of the seven departments.

If you wish to come to our meetings to tell us about your worries, problem, or ideas. It’s not uncommon that we take your input and we directly communicate it to the correct authority. Your voice does count.

Contact us, we would love to hear from you.
